The Rock Creek Alliance

The Rock Creek Alliance is a small, nonprofit organization based in the panhandle of northern Idaho. Established in 1996, the organization works to protect the water quality of the Clark Fork-Pend Oreille watershed and the Cabinet Mountains Wilderness Area from the proposed Rock Creek mine.

The organization’s membership is diverse, representing a broad cross-section of political and economic interests and includes business owners, sports people, recreationists, property owners, conservationists, and individual citizens concerned about clean water and the health of their local communities.

With the support of our members and communities, we have managed to hold off this proposal. We are committed to continue fighting as long as needed. Unfortunately, mining companies have much deeper pockets than we do, and our legal costs will mount. You can help by adding your name and those of your friends’ to our roster. These are national treasurers that belong to all of us and to generations to come.
